This affordable source ‘intern’ can be considered as one of the wisest investment in resources as for the present as well as keeping the future of any firm in mind, as when an employer provides an internship program as an investment in recruitment and training and is willing to give interns an opportunity to work with experienced professionals, they not only nurture the intern’s mind for their own work but they also make them learn things which will be beneficial for them in future. The best interns then can be offered job by the company for recruitment for full-time positions after they graduate. Hiring the interns for the full time position can beneficial because they’re familiar with the firm’s trend. An intern already familiar with your firm’s work method, and performing an effective job as they progress, makes them a considerate candidate to hire.
Internships can be paid or unpaid positions, depending on the circumstances. In most situations, interns should be paid by the employer. Employers do obtain benefits from the time and work invested by their interns, but unpaid internships are the traditional methods used which frequently is the case if the internship counts for academic credit for a particular degree for graduation.
One of the biggest benefit for any law firm of hiring an intern can be new and unique flow of ideas, Interns being the new generation raised in an competitive surrounding can sometimes provide new ways to get through the case, especially when the opponent can guess the next move from the employer’s side which mostly happens in law. Apart from giving new ideas, interns can also enhance the brand value of firm after the internship is over as they will be providing feedback to the peer regarding the work environment.
To conclude, Interns are important for law firms to minimize workflow interruption by easing the workload of your current employees, reducing tensions, or conflicts at the same time being the wisest invested resource in the firm.
