Application for Company name STK-8 | Download Free Templates
1. What is Form STK-8?
The name of the firm is recorded into the Registrar's Register upon incorporation. The name of the corporation is temporarily deleted from the Register when it is struck off. Section 248(2) of the Companies Act, 2013 makes it easier to wound down the business operations of defunct companies without having to go through the costly Winding Up procedure.
Form STK-8 is used when MCA has issued additional attachments to be filed with STK-2, which is the removal of the firm name from the ROC registry, and STK-8, which is a statement of account that will be filed with the strike-off application. The form will include all necessary information about the company's assets and liabilities up to 30 days prior to the application's submission.
2. Why is it important?
The financial accounts of a corporation provide crucial information regarding its financial health. Account details accurately reflect the company's business performance and financial situation.
Furthermore, it assists all stakeholders, including management, investors, securities analysts, and others, in assessing and making appropriate economic decisions by comparing previous and current performance and predicting future outcomes. As the company is going to be struck off, this is a very important document for the company.
