1. What is Form STK-2? 

Form STK-2 is used for A suo-motto application to the Registrar of Companies for the removal of the company's name from the register of companies. According to Sections 248 to 252 of the Companies Act give the Registrar of Companies the authority to remove a company's name from the register of companies if the Registrar has reasonable grounds to believe that, the firm has failed to begin operations within one year of its incorporation, or the company has not carried on any business or operation for the two most recent financial years, and the company has not carried on any business or operation for the two most recent financial years.

2. Why is it important?

Every director, manager, or other official exercising any power of management, as well as every member of the company dissolved under subsection (5), is nonetheless liable and can be enforced as if the business had not been dissolved. Form STK 2 assures, you can avoid being in default if you are not running a business or even compliant with the law, it will also save you from late penalties.
