Rs. 500 & Rs. 1000 notes Scrapped by Modi
In a gamechanging move by Modi, Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 notes have been scrapped as of 9th Nov, 12 AM.
To fight black money, the Indian government has just announced that currency of denomination 500 and 1000 can not be circulated anymore. A 50 day dead-line has been setup for people to deposit their old notes for new ones.
To ease the whole process, a 72 hour window has been opened for the use of these notes at petrol pumps, hospitals, airport, crematoriums etc.
This one move by Modi is gamechanging and was never even thought about by any other leader. The black money holders have been completely swept off their feet. They can actually not do anything about their black money in hand.
Banks would be closed on the 9th of November, but the regulation of new Rs. 500 and Rs. 2000 would start at midnight today.
The new Rs. 500 and Rs. 2000 notes, equipped with tracking chips.
The ATM's would be closed for the next two days also only have a daily limit of Rs. 2,000. Banks will have a limit of Rs. 10,000 per day, Rs. 20,000 per week.
The bank will only change Rs. 4000 at one go, and you would need a proper govt. issued ID proof for it.
Demand drafts, Electronic Transfer, Cheques will operate without any disturbance.
We will keep updating this article with all the latest information about this move.
