What is Form IEPF-5 ?
This form is related to Application to the Authority for Claiming unpaid amounts and shares out to Investor Education and protection.Fund pursuant to subsection( 3) of section 125 of the Companies Act , 2013 and Rule 6 (13 ) & 8(1) of the IEPF Authority Rules 2016. This form is to be filled by the shareholder and not by the company . Shareholders whose shares ,unclaimed dividend, matured debentures or unpaid amount etc have been transferred by the company to IEPF authority may claim under this form for refund.
Why is it Important ?
It is an important form for claiming unpaid dividend & shares , the company shall within 15days of date of the recipient of the claim send a verification claim to the authority , along with the necessary documents to be submitted .The calimaint can only file one claim in respect of the company in a financial year.
