1. What is Form NCLT 16?
Form NCLT 16 is filed pursuant to rule 140 of Companies NCLT rules 2016. This form contains the format in which the deposition of the witness is to be recorded. As per the rule, The Deposition of a witness shall be recorded in form NCLT 16. Each page of the deposition shall be initiated by the Members constituting the Bench. Corrections, if any, pointed out by the witness may, if the Bench is satisfied, be carried out and duly initialled. If not satisfied, a note to the effect be appended at the bottom of the deposition.
2. Why is it important?
Form NCLT 16 contains the format in which the deposition of the witness is to be recorded by the national company law tribunal.
