What is a Mediation Agreement?

The Meditation is a dispute settlement process. It is an alternative dispute mechanism available for the aggrieved parties where they don't want to go for a court proceeding and want to resolve their dispute without investing their time in judicial proceedings. Mediation agreement is signed between the disputed parties agreeing to the terms & condition for the mediation process. It is an agreement where two disputing parties appoint an individual to act as a mediator. The mediator is a person that facilitates the negotiation proceedings between the parties at dispute. This Mediation agreement does not legally bound the parties but instead helps the parties come to a settlement which is just & reasonable.

Why needed?

As we know that the court expenditures are highly expensive and time consuming. Dispute settlement through the Mediation process is faster and cheaper as compared to filing civil suits. They are the confidential process and not the matter of public record. The mediator acts as an impartial person and provides suggestion , opinions to resolve the dispute.In Case if the dispute is not resolved by the mediation process, each party reserves the right to appeal in the courts of law.
