How to get FSSAI Registration and Certificate Issued Bansal

Introduction The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is the governing body responsible for the regulation and safety of food products in India. Established in 2006, the FSSAI works towards the health and safety of consumers by setting standards for food products, regulating their production and sale, and providing technical guidance to the food industry. To ensure compliance with the standards set by the FSSAI, food businesses are required to register and obtain a FSSAI registration. In this article, we will discuss the process for obtaining a FSSAI registration and certificate. We will also provide an overview of the documents required for the registration process. The Process for Obtaining a FSSAI Registration The process for obtaining a FSSAI registration is as follows: 1. Select the Appropriate Registration Type: The first step in obtaining a FSSAI registration is to select the appropriate registration type. The FSSAI registration has three types State License, Central License, and Basic Registration. Each type of registration has its own eligibility criteria and documents required. For instance, State License is required for businesses that have an annual turnover of more than Rs. 20 lakhs, while Basic Registration is required for businesses with an annual turnover of less than Rs. 12 lakhs. 2. Apply for the FSSAI Registration: Once you have selected the appropriate registration type, you can then apply for the FSSAI registration via the FSSAI website. You will need to fill in the registration form, provide the necessary documents, and pay the applicable fees. 3. Validation of Documents: Once the application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the relevant authorities. They will verify the authenticity of the documents provided, such as the business address proof and other legal documents. 4. Obtaining the FSSAI Registration Certificate: Once the documents have been verified, the FSSAI registration certificate will be issued. The FSSAI registration certificate will include the FSSAI logo and the FSSAI registration number. This is an important document that must be displayed at the business premises. Documents Required for FSSAI Registration The following documents are required for FSSAI registration: Business address proof: This could be in the form of a rent agreement, sale deed, or electricity bill. Photographs of the business premises. Business registration documents such as the Partnership Deed, Memorandum of Association, or Articles of Association. Appointment letter or ID proof of the Proprietor/Partner/Director. List of food products that you will be manufacturing, packaging, or selling. Bank details such as the bank account number and IFSC code. GST registration certificate (if applicable). Conclusion Obtaining a FSSAI registration is a necessary requirement for all food businesses in India. The process for obtaining a FSSAI registration is simple and straightforward. You need to select the appropriate registration type, apply for the FSSAI registration, and provide the necessary documents for verification. Once the documents have been verified, you will receive your FSSAI registration certificate which must be displayed at the business premises.
