What is a Grant Agreement?
A Grant agreement is executed between the Grantee and the Grantor whereby the Grantor agrees to provide a certain sum of money as a grant to the grantee for the purpose of research and development, marketing or developing a new product, as the need be. These grants are usually given in accordance with the benefits schemes launched by the government of India. This agreement contains clauses as to the amount granted, the rights and responsibilities of the grantee and grantor, under what circumstances the agreement can be terminated, dispute resolution, etc.
