1. What is Form FTE?
This form is filed pursuant to section 248 of Companies Act, 2013 read with Companies (Removal of Name of Companies) Rules, 2016. As per the rule, the ROC can suo moto or upon an application by the company can strike off the name of the company from the register of companies if the company is inoperative or upon fulfilment of such conditions as may be specified in the act. The company making an application has to annex various documents along with it. Also, the company which has any pending litigation shall file e Form FTE with ROC giving details of the litigation
2. Why is it important?
a. It is a statutory requirement
b. It gives details of ending litigation against the company making an application for strike off to safeguard the interest of security holders.
