1. What is Form XX?
Form XX is used for the deduction of damage or loss. This includes information about the establishment as well as the principal employer, the nature of the work, the location of the work, employee information, details about the damage/loss, the date of the damage, whether an opportunity to show cause is provided, the amount of the deduction imposed, the number of instalments, recovery details, and the last instalment.
2. Why is it important?
This register is maintained as it will help employers to recover damages caused by an employee's negligence. Few employees will agree to compensate their employer for losses incurred, especially if the employee is also given a final written warning for the negligent act, but still to keep a record of loss/damages is mandatory.
