1. What is Form XVIII Rule 78 (1) (a) (i) ?
This form is related to Rule 78 (1) (a) (i) of Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition)1971, Rules, it is about registrar of wages- cum muster roll which includes information about nature of work, attendance per unit of work, daily rate of wages, deduction if any etc. These rules are also governed by the Payment of Wages Act 1936 and the Minimum Wages Act 1948.

It is important for maintaining the records and attendance of the workmen and these records are to be maintained by the contractor under the act in respect of each registered establishment in form XVIII. It is also essential to take the thumb impression or signature of workmen under this form.
