1. What is Form A Rule 4 (A)?
This form is related to set on and set off of the allocable surplus under section 2(4) of the payment of Bonus Act 1975, as per the section surplus allocation means in relation with the employer ( other than banking) which has not made the arrangement prescribed under the income tax for the declaration of payment within India of the dividends payable out of his profit with the provision under section 194 of the Act.
2. Why is it Important?
It is important because it is based on the payment of bonuses to the employees by the establishment and to make recommendations to the government accordingly. This form consists of the name of the organisation, accounting year, gross profit, Depreciation, direct taxes and sums deduction. Every employer shall prepare & maintain the register showing the computation of allocation of surplus in form A.
