1. What is Form Q Rule 76 (A)?
This form is related to the notice of closure to be given by an employer under Section 25-FFA of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947 as per central Rule 76 (A), This notice is addressed to the Department of labour and Employer and to the secretary to the government of India. As per Rule 76 (A), If an employer intends to close down an undertaking he shall be given a notice of such closure in form Q to the central government or to the regional labour commissioner, the Assistant Labour Commissioner (Central), and the Employment Exchange concerned, by registered post.
2. Why is it Important?
This form is important because it is related Closing of the establishment by the employer where the employer has to serve this notice to the labour commissioner, by stating the reason for such closure in the notice, date of effect and the number of workmen who shall be terminated on the account of closure of the establishment.
