1. What is Form P Rule 76 ?
This form is related to Notice of Retrenchment to be given by an employer under clause (c) of Section 25-F of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947, this notice is addressed to the ministry labour of India and to the secretary to the government of India. As per Rule 76 of industrial dispute central rules , if an employer desires to rentrench an of its workmen in his establishment for the continuous service for not less than one year , he shall be given a notice of Retrenchment in form P to the central government, regional labour commissioner.
2. Why is it Important ?
This form is important because it is related to the retrenchment process of the workmen where notice to be given to workmen, notice of retrenchment shall be given to be within three days and where no notice is given to the workman and he is paid one month’s wages in lieu thereof, notice of retrenchment shall be sent within three days from the date on which such wages are paid.
