1. What is Form I Rule 17 (1)?
This form is related to the Application for registration of establishment employing contract labour under form I as per Rule 17(1) of the Contract Labour ( Regulation & Abolition) Central Rules, 1971. The Application referred in subsection (1) of section 7 shall be made in form I to the registering officer of the area in which the establishment is to be located.
2. Why is it Important?
It is important because it contains information about the particulars of the contractor, principal employer, their address, nature of work, termination date etc. and shall be duly signed by the principal employer. This shall be issued in Form I as per Rule 76 of the Contract Labour (Regulation & Abolition ) Rules. On the recipient of the application, the registration officer shall grant the acknowledgement of the applicant.
