1. What is Form B Rule 4 (A)?
This form is related to set on and set off of the allocable surplus under section 15 of the payment of Bonus Act 1975, as per the section where allocable surplus exceeds the amount of maximum bonus payable to the employees the, the excess shall subject to 20 % of the total salary or wages to an employee in the establishment in the accounting year and is carried forward to being set -on in the succeeding accounting year.
2. Why is it Important?
It is important because it is based on the amount set -on or set -off from the previous accounting year for calculating the bonus of the succeeding year and the amount carried forward from the earliest accounting year shall be first taken into the account. This form consists of information related to set-on and set-off amounts. Every employer shall prepare & maintain the register showing the set-on and set-off of allocable surplus under section 15, in the form B.
