The entire humanity is presently reeling under the onslaught of the Corona Virus [COVID-19]. It was declared as a 'Pandemic' by World Health Organization (WHO) on 11th March 2020. The impact of its' cascading and ripple effects are unpredictable, in its magnitude and coverage. World's major economies including that of USA and China are already in tatters. The Prime Minister of India, in order to contain the spread of the Novel COVID-19, has taken a significant step by declaring nationwide lockdown effective from 25th March 2020 to ensure effective social distancing amongst its citizen, which is the only preventive measure to restrain the spread of COVID-19.
Considering the present scenario, it is an imperative step taken by the Government, but the lockdown will directly impact the businesses and the economy of the country. Both the Central and the respective State Govemments have taken various measures considering the interest of the public at large. However, the businesses and the employers have been posed to major concerns, one of which relates to its employee.
