Maharashtra Government had announced an ex-gratia of Rs. 50 thousand to the relatives of those who lost their lives due to Covid 19. The state government has launched a website 

https://mahacovid19relief.in/login to submit applications for this scheme. 

Documents Required 

Immediate relatives of deceased persons are requested to submit their 

• Aadhaar card copy of applicant (pdf/jpg)

• Aadhaar card copy of deceased (pdf/jpg)

• Death certificate of deceased under birth and death registration act, 1969 (pdf/jpg)

• Aadhaar Linked Bank Account Number of Applicant*

• Cancelled cheque copy of applicant’s account (pdf/jpg)

• Medical Certification of Cause of Death (pdf/jpg)

• RT-PCR report copy OR RAT OR CT Scan copy (pdf/jpg) OR Any other medical documents (pdf/jpg) when document no. 6 is not available

• Details of a deceased person with a death certificate on this portal. 

• Covid 19 deaths already registered with the central government’s database are not required to register. 

• Others who have a death certificate with cause as COVID 19 or other medical proof showing death due to COVID 19 have to submit those documents on portal.

Approved applications will be displayed within a week on the portal. Applicants whose claim is rejected on portal can file an appeal with a committee formed at District and Municipal Corporation level.

Application Procedure 

The applicants can login with the help of their mobile numbers. Then they will have to fill up the details of the deceased patients along with their Aadhaar number. There is also an option to upload death certificates and hospital details. 

https://mahacovid19relief.in/login — where the kin can apply for the ex-gratia amount. The centralised website is directly linked with the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) data. The names of the approved applications will be made available on the website within seven days.
