What is a Copyright License Agreement?
A Copyright License Agreement is an agreement under which a copyright proprietor grants an individual of a business entity to use their copyrighted work to produce, or copy, or distribute, or use it for a certain period in order to gain profit in the business.
Why is it Important?
This agreement allows the transfer of exclusive rights. The proprietor shares its rights to the licensee in exchange for the consideration and still remains the owner of the copyrighted work which benefits both parties but only when the transfer is in writing and signed by the proprietor of the rights.
