1. What is Form CHG-4?

CHG Form-4 is used when a business must notify the Registrar in writing, using e-form CHG-4, of the payment or satisfaction in full of any fee reported under this Chapter within 30 days of the payment or satisfaction. At the company's or charge holder's request, the Registrar may enable such intimation of payment or satisfaction to be made within 300 days of the payment or satisfaction.

The satisfaction date is the date on which the debt on which the fee on the company's assets was generated has been fully paid. The Amount Secured and the Date of Complete Satisfaction must be specified in the charge satisfaction document. 

It must be prepared and signed by the approved director, and then it must be digitally signed by the charge holder bank or FI. We will include the banker's Pan Number and Email id so that the same can be filled out before the director's signature is affixed to the form. 

2. Why is it important?

If the charge fulfilment is not filed within 300 days, the company's only choice is to file a compounding application with the ministry of corporate affairs' regional director or some other office as MCA may authorise in due course. This is the reason CHG-4 filing is important.
