1. What is Form CHG-2?
CHG- 2 is a form used for the purpose of registering a charge change. Furthermore, the Act states that no charge created by the corporation can be considered by the liquidator or any other creditor until it is properly registered and the Registrar issues a certificate of registration.
It must be noted that the declaration has to be made on stamp paper & should be notarized by an Advocate, a Company Secretary, a Chartered Accountant or a Cost Accountant, practising the profession.
2. Why is it important?
Changing the charge in a company is important as it will ensure the powers of the concerned person. And it will not create confusion in the company, and the department will know who is the concerned person to handle the powers and that person will only be liable if any future unforeseen situation arises.
