1. What is a Notice for Breach of Contract?
The breach of contract means the violation of the contractual obligation by a party to the contract. A Breach of Contract Notice is a document by which a party to a contract informs the other party that they have breached the agreement and if they fail to rectify the breach within a reasonable period of time, then the party serving the notice is intending to file a legal suit against the breaching party and claiming the damages. It is a prerequisite for filing a suit for damages and can be sent only by an advocate under his name and seal.
2. Why is it important?
a. It gives an intimation of the intention of the non-breaching party to file suit for damages.
b. It can be used as a resort to settle the matter out of court.
