1. What is Form AOC 1?
AOC 1 is filed by companies as a statement, where a company has more than one subsidiary, to report the salient features of the financial statement of its subsidiary or subsidiaries. This form is filed under sub-section (3) of section 129 read with rule 5 of Companies (Accounts) Rules, 2O14. Even Companies exempted for preparation of Consolidated Financial statement required to attach AOC-1.
For the purposes of this subsection, the word “subsidiary” shall include associate company and joint venture.
2. Why is it important?
It will be to the greatest advantage of the companies to record the suitable financial structures on the due dates with the recommended charges. Inability to record the equivalent will acquire a penalty to the company and the administration.
