1. What is an Adhesion contract?
The adhesion contracts are the standard form of contracts wherein the party making the contract has more rights and power than the other party. There is no or very little scope of negotiations in such contracts. These adhesion contracts are made where the party making it, usually enters into business with several clients, for example, Construction contracts, builders contracts, etc, and does not have time to negotiate the terms and conditions.
2. Why is it important?
a. The term and conditions in these contracts are favoring one party.
b. Not much scope of negotiations is there.
