The issue of safety of the Indian roads is time and again questioned. The quality of the roads, the infrastructure on the highways, the lack of amenities, first day and basic facilities, the absence of road signs and markings along with street lights, are some of the basic infrastructure related issues. To add to these woes we have the lackadaisical administrative structure that constantly demands #bribes and unlawful enrichments and to complicate matters further, the lack of support from the governmental agencies makes travelling on the roads an arduous experience. 

The majority of the population of the country may not be able to easily recognize these issues which are a daily challenge for the logistics and truckers of our country. The truckers along with the above mentioned issues face harassment and ill treatment from those who have been stationed on the roads for their protection. However, while the logistical industry faces these challenges on the regular, it would not be safe to assume that the vast majority of the population does not face any issues at all.
